“I'm Gordon aka Gus, and I moved from Fife, Scotland to Liverpool in 2001 with my wife Mo.

“I have had various forms of facial hair since I was old enough to be too lazy to shave, and I now sport a full set, and have decided as I'm now 62 to let it go terminal.

“I'm a keen motorcycle enthusiast and fan of Drag Racing at which I regularly ‘spanner’ for a good mate who has a race car and competes in Outlaw Anglia both at Santa Pod and Shakespeare County raceway.

“I am also a big fan of all sorts of live music, especially Country and Bluegrass, which brings me to tell y'all about an amazing free festival in San Francisco that we have been lucky enough to attend a four or five times. It is Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and is an absolute must if visiting California in October.

“My wife and I have 5 grown up kids between us, 1 grandson and another on its way.

“I also try to get away in my self-built campervan as often as I can, and last September the wife and myself drove and spent some time on the French Riviera.

“So that’s me and all being well I'll be catching up with the chaps at the next Liverbeards meeting in Liverpool.”
