THE EARLY YEARS
MEETINGS REVISITED
The first meeting of The British Beard Club was in February 2009 at The Cockpit pub in the City of London.
At the second meeting at The Cardinal at Victoria, London on 14th March 2009, enthusiasm made up for low numbers.
In June 2009 we held our first annual Midsummer Beardness meeting at The George Inn, Borough Hign Street, London.
The Great British Beard Club attended the Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court, London in August 2009.
Broadstairs Folk Week in Kent was the venue for our 5th meeting in August 2009 at the Prince Albert.
Marc Van der Veken represented the Club in September 2009 at the German World Beard Championship.
Lewes in East Sussex was the venue in October 2009 for our meeting at Harvey's Brewery.
TBBC Members attended the October charity Darts Match between The Pipe Club of London and The Handlebar Club.
The Essex Beardsmen hosted our first regional meeting in Norwich in November 2009.
